ENHANCING YOUR PAINTING WITH THE TECHNIQUE OF GLAZING

This two day workshop introduces the glazing technique for acrylics. Materials used for this process will be introduced –an information sheet will be provided on materials supplies and process.

The day will begin with a demonstration of how to prepare your canvas surface.

Colour charts which illustrate this process ,step by step ,will show how glazing affects each colour applied to the canvas. Original paintings will be shown during the workshop as well Jan will work on one of her paintings explaining the process as she paints.

Students will focus on transparent colour , colour theory, mixing and applying paint.

Students will then apply this to an image of their choice, still life or florals images  are best for learning and practicing this technique. Jan will take time to also cover critiquing your art

and the elements of Design. All levels welcome.
