From time to time our lives are touched by a human connection that leaves an indelible mark on our soul. Valerie was that connection for me. As a student, Valerie was a regular visitor to the studio - but she was an accomplished creative in her own right and would spend time in the studio with her father-in-law, Ron. Both Ron and Valerie quickly won our hearts and became a permanent part of our studio family.

Early January 2025 Valerie lost her very brave battle to cancer.

The gift from Valerie is the opportunity for youth to take part in our workshop program at no cost - completely free. This opportunity is open to anyone between 16 and 25 years of age (okay, we can be a little flexible), who feels that they would benefit from taking a workshop with one of our several talented artist/ instructors throughout the year.

Just send us an email (using the contact feature on the main page), and in a couple of paragraphs let us know why you would like to take a workshop, and how you would benefit from the experience. You may choose from any of the workshops throughout the year - and at no cost. This is Valerie’s gift to you.
