Gaye Adams “Catching the light”

This course will explore how to capture the ineffable quality of light in painting. In getting all color, value, and temperature relationships correct we, as painters, can create the wonderful illusion of light with mere pigments on canvas.

We will be working from photo references.  I will provide some but students are also welcome to bring a few of their own.   We will be working small, no larger than 8x10 in order to get several paintings completed during the workshop. If you have challenges getting the light to "read" in your paintings, this is the workshop for you.

Open to acrylic and oil painters - suitable for advanced beginners and intermediate painters
